About Us
How We Started
Be One to Give was inspired by a deeply personal journey with food insecurity. During a challenging 3-year period of financial hardship, our founder, Tony Colley secured employment with a catering company where surplus food was regularly discarded. Determined to feed himself and others, he began redistributing this surplus food to local shelters during his daily commute.
Over time, this act of kindness sparked a larger vision after a simple investment in a food delivery bag. This not only made the process easier, but also revealed a greater opportunity to combat edible food waste.
Realizing the potential to tackle both of these egregious issues on a much broader scale, Tony invested in additional tools to streamline the process. This simple yet impactful start laid the foundation for Be One to Give—a mission-driven organization dedicated to creating a sustainable, circular solution for surplus food recovery and redistribution.
